Human hair is 70 percent protein, and the protein in your hair is responsible for keeping it strong. Now protein treatments for hair are actually designed in such a way that it fills on empty spots on the hair shaft that is caused by the lack of protein in your hair. Using protein treatments for your hair will make your hair healthier and better than it was before.

Egg

The best source of protein for your hair is an egg. This is because the yolk is rich in fat and protein, and is extremely important for moisturizing. Then the white bit of an egg is full of bacteria eating enzymes which cleanse your hair and the scalp, and so you should use a full egg for normal to dry hair, while for oily hair you should use only the whites. You could use the egg as a standalone product or you could also mix it with other protein rich ingredients, take one egg or two depending on the length and thickness of your hair. You could use this treatment every two weeks or monthly. Beat the egg until it is frothy and then apply it to your hair and scalp evenly, you must make sure that you hair is completely covered with the egg. You should cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it like that for 20 minutes. Afterwards you should wash it with water and shampoo.

Yogurt
Dairy products like cream and yogurt can be a good option for protein treatment as the lactic acid in yogurt gently cleanses white fat moisturizers; it will further make your hair strong and healthy. You should mix egg and yogurt if you wish to get a deep conditioning protein treatment. You should massage 3 tablespoon of sour cream or yogurt into your hair and let it be so for about 20 minutes, after which you can rinse and shampoo your hair. You should apply this treatment every week for best results.

Mayonnaise and Avocado

Mayonnaise which is made of oil and egg is moisturizing for hair and to then avocados that contain high fat content that makes your hair less dry and prone to breakage. You should mix two tablespoon of mayonnaise and half mashed avocado in a bowl until it is creamy. You must apply this mixture to your hair concentrating mostly on the ends and for an even distribution you should use a wide tooth comb.

What you must remember when doing the treatments is that you shouldn’t over do with the protein treatment as too much of it could destroy your hair. Overusing protein can in fact dry out and cause your hair to crack. - See more at: http://www.onlymyhealth.com/three-homemade-protein-treatments-for-hair-1373366113#sthash.uHXKigTj.dpuf
